For the fourth consecutive year, KVML has gathered a lively and experienced panel to discuss the wounds of war and the ways soldiers cope through the arts and humanities. For 2016, we return to where it all started. The Indiana War Memorial.
To celebrate Indiana’s Bicentenial Year, we are highlighting key Hoosier veterans who used the humanities to cope with war. This year’s will feature Mark Vonnegut (son of Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.), Mark Ferrera (historian of Eli Lilly), and Marc Leeds (Vonnegut Scholar and author of The Vonnegut Encyclopedia), and Charles Hyde (CEO of the Benjamin Harrison House). Warrior Songs’ Jason Moon will perform and discuss his work with Veterans in creating songs to cope with PTSD.
There will be a resource fair for veterans and their families in the lobby of the War Memorial before the discussion.
